This original watermill, built in 1750 on a riverbank, was fully functional and still milling corn and wheat until 1963. The river runs at the back of the house and creates a waterfall visible from the dining room and from one of the bedrooms. There is an abundance of wildlife around the river where you will find trout, grey herons and ducks.
The house has been designed in such a way that every window of the house has its own beautiful view of the surrounding forest.
Sitting on an impressive 3 hectares of land the main house is 340 m2 on 2 floors:
On the ground floor there is an entrance hall, with a living room on the left with feature fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen and dining room on the right with another feature fire place – this house has been designed to be really cosy in the cooler winter months. The nearest airport is San Sebastian which is only a 30minute drive from the property.
Travelling from the UK you will find cheap flights either to Biarritz (France) or Bilbao which are at 45 and 60minutes from home respectively.
