This original watermill, built in 1750 on a riverbank, was fully functional and still milling corn and wheat until 1963. The river runs at the back of the house and creates a waterfall visible from the dining room and from one of the bedrooms. There is an abundance of wildlife around the river where you will find trout, grey herons and ducks.
The house has been designed in such a way that every window of the house has its own beautiful view of the surrounding forest.
Sitting on an impressive 3 hectares of land the main house is 340 m2 on 2 floors:
On the ground floor there is an entrance hall, with a living room on the left with feature fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen and dining room on the right with another feature fire place – this house has been designed to be really cosy in the cooler winter months. Behind the entrance hall there is also a half bathroom and a library area.
On the first floor there are 3 double bedrooms with enclosed full bathrooms (with bathtub) and enclosed dressing rooms. The top floor bedroom is built into the eves and has been beautifully restored.
The underfloor heating and lime-wash walls add to the countryside feel and makes the house especially relaxing.
Outside there is a large garden – the perfect place to walk, play, relax with a book or enjoy alfresco eating during the warm weather.
Adjoining the main house there is a 45 sq m apartment that has it's own entrance. The apartment comprises living room, kitchenette, bedroom and shower room.
In the grounds near to the house is the equestrian centre with 13 stables, green paddocks and a 50m x 30m arena made of a high quality silica surface.
Each stable is 3x3m with automatic water feeders and there is an additional paddock where the horses are free to roam all day long. In addition there is also a tack room, rug room, feed room, hay barn and lorry parking.
Behind the track, there’s a path that leads to the wood and mountains where you are able to enjoy long walks around the beautiful, peaceful and green surroundings.
